The D valves work!
We made new gaskets and refitted both valve chests.
The left side valve gear rocker shaft has been replaced, which allowed refitting of the valve rod.
Here we see the inside of the valve chest, looking from above, with the slide valve in place, and the cover off.
This is the left cylinder temporarily assembled. The cover is in place, and above it is the manual oil pot.
Finally, here is a shot showing the valve rod and rocker back in place.
The axle turns on a half bearing, with a keep on the bottom.
